Michael J. Greer
FOUNDING PARTNER
Michael J. Greer, a founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Waveland, leaves behind a remarkable legacy marked by professional excellence and deep personal connections. With over 40 years of experience in the financial services and energy sectors, Michael co-founded Waveland in 2000, establishing a reputation built on integrity, strategic vision, and unwavering trust.
Before Waveland, Michael founded Energy Partners, Inc. in 1989 and served as its President until the NASDAQ-listed Benton Oil and Gas Company acquired it. Since then, he has been pivotal in numerous high-impact transactions, including the divestiture of a 35,000-acre position in southeastern Oklahoma to Chesapeake Energy and the sale of 120,000 acres in south-central Kansas to Royal Dutch Shell Corporation. His adept leadership facilitated the successful acquisition, development, and strategic sale of various energy projects.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Michael was a lifelong baseball enthusiast, finding joy in both playing and watching the sport. The camaraderie and discipline inherent in baseball reflected his approach to life, characterized by patience and dedication.
Michael was not only a distinguished leader but also a compassionate mentor and listener, known for providing support with humility and strength. Above all, he cherished his roles as a devoted husband, caring father, and loyal friend.
His contributions to the industry and the profound impact he had on the lives of those around him ensure that his legacy of kindness, leadership, and love will resonate long into the future. Michael J. Greer will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Vickie J. Greer
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & FOUNDING PARTNER
As a co-founder of Waveland, Vickie Greer has served as Chief Operating Officer since our inception. With an impressive 38-year career, Vickie brings extensive expertise in investment syndication, operations, administration, legal services, and relations with investors and broker-dealers. Her pivotal role at Waveland includes the development of our proprietary platform, streamlining investment processes, overseeing broker and investor relations, and ensuring rigorous compliance with corporate and securities law. Prior to her career in the financial sector, Vickie obtained her paralegal certification from the University of Texas at El Paso. She held positions as a paralegal in law firms in Irvine, California, and El Paso, Texas.
Sam Irvani
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER & PARTNER
Mr. Irvani joined Waveland in 2010, contributing over 29 years of seasoned expertise in private equity, investment banking, and corporate finance. Before joining Waveland, Sam held the role of Manager, Revenue Finance, and M&A at Western Digital Corporation (NYSE: WDC), overseeing revenue and gross margin management for the company's $2.5 billion global enterprise distribution business channel. His responsibilities included providing executive support in M&A evaluation and strategic corporate development initiatives involving multinational acquisition targets.
Prior to Western Digital, Sam served as Vice President at Citigroup Global Markets, delivering M&A and corporate finance advisory services to middle-market clients in the United States and Canada. His finance career began in treasury and financial analysis roles at the Ford Motor Company and the Bank of Montreal Financial Group in Toronto, Canada.
Mr. Irvani holds a BS in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Toronto, an MBA in Finance from McMaster University in Canada, and FINRA Series 7, 27, 28, 79, and 63 registrations.

Scott Dinh
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & PARTNER
Mr. Dinh has served as Waveland's Chief Financial Officer since 2015, having previously held the position of Controller since 2007. As a Certified Public Accountant with over 34 years of finance experience spanning diverse industries, including oil & gas, manufacturing, and distribution, Scott brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Prior to joining Waveland, he served as CFO for Cabinetec, Inc., a prominent cabinet manufacturing company, and as Controller for U.S. Filter Recovery Services from 1999 to 2005. Scott's career includes roles as Assistant Controller for Grant Geophysical, Financial Reporting Supervisor at Air Liquide of America, and Accounting Manager at Kenfil Distribution. Beginning his career in 1989 as an auditor at Arthur Young & Co, a Big 8 accounting firm, Mr. Dinh's expertise lies in optimizing cash flow, enhancing profitability, establishing growth-facilitating processes and infrastructure, and overseeing operations and financial planning. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Texas.
Adam Dooley
PRESIDENT, WAVELAND CAPITAL PARTNERS
Adam Dooley leads Waveland’s capital formation platform and oversees client engagement across its alternative investment strategies. He is responsible for developing and distributing Waveland’s investment offerings while expanding the firm’s presence among private wealth and institutional investors.
Prior to joining Waveland, Mr. Dooley held senior executive roles at MetLife, including Managing Director and Head of Wealth Management for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as well as Vice President of U.S. Individual Retirement Savings. He previously served as Vice President and Country Manager for The Hartford’s U.K. Wealth Management Division, where he directed the firm’s European expansion strategy. Mr. Dooley began his career as a financial analyst in the Fixed Income Trading Division at Salomon Smith Barney.
With over 25 years of experience in capital markets, private equity, and capital origination, Mr. Dooley brings deep expertise and a global perspective. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is also the author of The Pre-IPO Playbook, a practical guide for investors evaluating opportunities in the late-stage private market ecosystem.
Trisha Prince
CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Trisha joined Waveland in 2019, bringing over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a primary focus on compliance requirements for broker-dealers and investment advisers. Before joining Waveland, Trisha served as the Chief Compliance Officer at a Dallas-based broker-dealer for three years. From 2012 to 2017, she served as the Risk Officer for Credit Suisse Private Bank in Houston, Texas. In these roles, Trisha spearheaded the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance programs and regulatory frameworks to ensure adherence to federal, state, and FINRA regulations. Her responsibilities included developing written supervisory procedures, manuals, and processes, as well as overseeing business continuity and continuing education programs. Trisha conducted compliance audits of independent registered representatives, initiated process simplification and effectiveness improvements, administered staff compliance training, and enhanced firm-wide compliance programs across all areas of the organization. Trisha holds the Series 7, 24, 63, 65, 9, and 10 industry licenses.
Doug Jacobson
EVP - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & PARTNER
Before joining Waveland in 2018, Mr. Jacobson served for 16 years at Chesapeake Energy Corporation, retiring in July 2015. Upon retirement, he held the position of Executive Vice President – Acquisitions & Divestitures at Chesapeake. During Doug's career at Chesapeake, he negotiated and/or managed the consummation of over 8,500 acquisition and divestiture transactions, totaling more than $70 billion in aggregate value. Before joining Chesapeake, Doug was employed by Samson Investment Company. He served as Senior Vice President of Project Development and Marketing at the time of his departure from Samson, where he managed the company's acquisition and divestiture efforts. Prior to joining Samson, Doug was employed as an auditor with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. Mr. Jacobson has served on various Oklahoma legislative commissions, including the Commission of Oil and Gas Production Practices and the Natural Gas Policy Commission. While working with Waveland, Doug joined the board of RDV Resources, Inc. in March 2020. In May 2022, he became the Chairman of the Board, a position he still holds today. He is a certified public accountant and graduated from John Brown University with a B.S.B.A. and from the University of Arkansas with an M.S.A.
John Naslund, CFP®, CLU
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & PARTNER
John Naslund began his career in the financial services industry in 1975, bringing a wealth of experience to Waveland since joining in 2002. Over the years, John has been engaged by major global financial institutions as a variable product and planning specialist. His expertise has proven invaluable in assisting national securities firms and representatives in serving highly accredited clientele. John holds the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation from Denver's College of Financial Planning. He ensures high professionalism as a licensed General Securities and Municipal Securities Principal with FINRA. Furthermore, John has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
William A. Rack, Jr.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - WEST REGION
William A. Rack, Jr. became the Senior Vice President at Waveland in 2021, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets to his role. Prior to joining Waveland, he served as the Executive Vice President of ArciTerra Group, LLC, where he also held the position of President at ArciTerra Capital, LLC. During his time at ArciTerra, Bill successfully created and funded 22 private placement offerings, totaling over $150 million in equity.
Before his tenure at ArciTerra, Bill worked for the Cole companies from January 2000 to March 2005, where he played a key role in the creation and funding of more than 20 private placement offerings, which amounted to over $335 million in equity. Before his position at Cole, Bill was with Laeroc Partners, Inc., a real estate syndicator based in Los Angeles.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Pacific, majoring in Finance and Marketing. Bill also holds FINRA Series 22 and 63 registrations.
Jamie Harmon, CFP®
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - EAST REGION
Since joining the team in 2013, Jamie Harmon has held the position of Senior Vice President of the East Region, where he oversees our sales operations in the eastern United States. Jamie has an impressive background as a financial wholesaler, bringing over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to our team. He graduated from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earning both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration.
Jamie began his professional career in 1999 in the Independent Broker-Dealer industry and achieved his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2008, highlighting his expertise in financial planning. Based in our East Coast office in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, his extensive experience enables him to effectively engage with financial professionals and develop and implement practical solutions. Additionally, he holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
Colton "Colt" Munchoff
VICE PRESIDENT - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Colt Munchoff joined Waveland in 2021 as Vice President, bringing over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. His expertise spans all aspects of business development, from cultivating dealer relations within the Independent Broker-Dealer and RIA channels to sales management and distribution. Previously, Colt served as Associate Vice President for Steadfast companies from March 2018 to August 2021, where he played a pivotal role in business development. Before that, he spent 12 years wholesaling annuities as a Regional Vice President at MetLife Investors. Colt's career has earned him numerous accolades, including top sales awards, management recognition, and invitations to serve as a keynote speaker at various conferences and events. Colt studied marketing and communications at the University of Arizona and holds FINRA Series 7 registration, demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence in the financial industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, Colt serves as a role model to individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury. Having personally experienced a closed-head injury at the age of 23, Colt faced significant challenges, including months of immobility and speech impairment. His journey of recovery has been an inspiration for over two decades, as he passionately shares his story as a motivational speaker.
George Ashby
VICE PRESIDENT - KEY ACCOUNTS
Since joining the Waveland team in 2023, George has served as Waveland's Vice President of Key Accounts, strategically leveraging his expertise in financial services and relationship management. George began his professional journey in the mortgage industry, rising to become one of the top loan officers at New American Funding. In 2019, he transitioned to Merrill Lynch's FADP program, facilitating transactions exceeding $575 million. His diverse experience spans fundraising for hedge funds and the distinguished honor of ceremonially ringing the Nasdaq bell. His career path led him to pivot toward private equity, where George excelled as the top producer at his former firm, Triton Pacific. George's academic foundation in Economics, which he earned at Arizona State University, enhances his strategic approach to navigating complex financial landscapes. He holds FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 registrations.
